初期化（出荷時設定にリセット）する方法

FortiGate は、ログインパスワードがわからなくなった時のために、Console ポートから maintainer ユーザーでログインすることができるようになっている。

maintainer ユーザーのパスワードは、Fortigate の bcpbシリアル番号（例：bcpbFG100A0123456789）になる。シリアル番号は FortiGate の底面に書かれている。

Console 接続し、maintainer ユーザーでログインする。

Fortigate-100A login: maintainer
Password: bcpbFG100A0123456789
Welcome !

全設定を初期化（出荷時設定にリセット）するには、execute factoryreset コマンドを実行する。

Fortigate-100A $ execute factoryreset 
This operation will reset the system to factory default!
Do you want to continue? (y/n)y


System is resetting to factory default...


The system is going down NOW !!

再起動がかかり、全設定が初期化された状態で起動する。

admin パスワードのみ変更する方法

設定を初期化せず残したままにし、admin のパスワードのみを変更したい場合は、maintainer ユーザでログイン後、次のコマンドで admin のパスワードを書き換えればよい。

config system admin
edit admin
set password 新しいパスワード
end
